A joint account may be opened by two individuals as joint applicants.

Often referred to as an everyday account, an everyday transaction account can generally be used for managing daily expenses like paying bills, shopping, and other routine purchases.
With a Suncorp Bank everyday transaction account, you can:
- Pay for goods and services using a linked Visa Debit card, Apple Pay® or Google Pay™.
- Withdraw cash from ATMs¢ using a linked Visa Debit card.
- Send and receive money with Osko fast payments++.
- Transfer funds between your Suncorp Bank accounts.
To open an account for either yourself or a company, you’ll need to provide proof of identity. For a full list of document types and requirements, read the Personal Identification Requirements page.
Suncorp Bank customers can do all their everyday banking from the Suncorp Bank App, including:
- view account balances
- set up and use Apple Pay® or Google Pay™ with your Visa Debit card as soon as you're approved for an everyday transaction account
- Pay someone in under a minute to participating banks with Osko fast payments++
- set up your PayID to make getting paid simpler^
- temporarily lock your Visa Debit card if it's been lost or stolen
- set or reset your card PIN
- view, download and share eStatements, and
- open new bank accounts.
You can easily transfer money from your account using Internet Banking, the Suncorp Bank App, Telephone Banking, or by visiting a Suncorp Bank branch.
You can open up to 9 sub-accounts with your main Everyday Options Account. Your sub-accounts can be named whatever you like. For example, you might like to name yours for different spending categories (such as bills, petrol and groceries) or savings goals (like a holiday fund).

To make sure your salary is deposited into your Suncorp Bank account, you’ll need to give your employer your BSB and account number. Suncorp Bank’s BSB number is 484-799 for all accounts.
To make this a little easier, jump into Internet Banking to access an easy-to-use email template that pre-fills your account number.
This can also be done via the Suncorp Bank App by following the below steps:
- Tap ‘More’ in the menu bar, then select ‘Payments’.
- Select ‘Set up salary deposit’, then complete the form.
- We’ll provide you with a PDF for you to provide to your employer.
A Daily Limit is applied to all accounts linked to the Customer ID. Daily limits apply when you process external transfers, business payments, BPAY payments (except BPAY payments to the ATO) and transfers to another Suncorp Bank account not held in your name or business/company name.
Your daily limit will default to $5,000 for all external transfers performed via Internet Banking or via the Suncorp Bank App.
You can update your address, email and phone number through Internet Banking:
- Log into Internet Banking and select ‘Settings & Security’.
- Click ‘Update Contact Details’ and follow the prompts.
You can also update your address and email via the Suncorp Bank App:
- Log into the App and tap ‘More’ in the menu bar.
- Select 'Profile', then tap on 'Residential address’, 'Mailing address' or 'Email' and follow the prompts to update.
To change the name on your account, for example, because of marriage or divorce, you’ll need to follow the steps required by your state or territory’s Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages first. Once you’ve done that, you’ll then need to submit your change of name documentation in person at any Suncorp Bank branch.

++Osko fast payments can only be made to a PayID or to the BSB and account number of an Osko enabled account at another Osko participating financial institution via the Suncorp Bank App, Internet Banking or by visiting a Suncorp Bank branch. Osko fast payments cannot be made from or to Passbook accounts, loan accounts (other than line of credit and overdraft facilities), Farm Management Deposit Accounts and Fixed Term Deposits. Osko fast payments cannot be made from Kids Savings Accounts, Agent’s Statutory Trust Accounts (QLD, NSW) and Solicitor’s Trust Accounts (QLD) but can be made to them. Staff assisted Osko fast payments cannot be made in branch from Carbon Insights Account and Sub-Accounts, Everyday Options Sub-Accounts, Business Saver Accounts or eOptions Accounts. Payments from an Account which requires 2 or more persons to sign to withdraw, future-dated and recurring payments and Business Payment Credits will not be made as an Osko fast payment. † A Suncorp Bank Visa Debit Card is required. Suncorp Bank Visa Debit Cards are not available to overseas residents, Trustee accounts, accounts where the number to sign to operate is two or more (no form of card access is allowed) or a child under the age of 11. Suncorp Bank Visa Debit Cards must have an account linked as Primary Credit Relationship. Each customer may only have one Suncorp Bank Visa Debit Card per Primary Credit account.

£ Some transactions which may cause the account to become overdrawn include fees and other transactions that occur when Suncorp Bank is processing offline.
