How to set up Apple Pay on your iPhone
Use the Suncorp Bank App
You don’t have to wait for your physical Debit card to set up Apple Pay when you use the Suncorp Bank App.
- Tap on the ‘Cards’ icon on the menu bar.
- Select the Suncorp Bank Debit card.
- Tap “Add to Apple Wallet” and follow the easy instructions.
You must use your Apple Wallet app to add your Suncorp Bank Clear Options Credit Cards on Apple Pay.

Use the Apple Wallet app
- Open the Apple Wallet App.
- Tap ‘+’ to add your Suncorp Bank Debit card or Suncorp Bank Clear Options Credit Cards.
- Scan your card and follow the instructions on the screen.
How to set up Apple Pay on your Apple Watch
- Open the Apple Watch on your iPhone.
- Tap ‘Wallet & Apple Pay’ and tap ‘Add Card’.
- Select the Debit or Credit card you already added to your phone or choose ‘Add a Different Card’ and use your iPhone camera to scan the new card information.

What Suncorp Bank cards can I use for Apple Pay?
You can use Apple Pay with Suncorp Bank Visa Debit cards, Suncorp Bank Business Visa Debit cards, Suncorp Bank PayLater Visa Debit cards, Suncorp Bank eftpos cards and Suncorp Bank Clear Options Credit Cards.
To set up Apple Pay via the Suncorp Bank App:
- Download, & sign up to, the Suncorp Bank App.
- Add your Banking products into the app (if they’re not there already).
- Tap on the ‘Cards’ icon in the menu bar.
- Select the relevant Suncorp Bank Visa Debit card. Once the Visa Debit card page displays, select ‘Add to Apple Wallet’ on your VISA Debit card.
- Follow and complete the screens to finalise setup.
- Once complete you’ll be returned to the ‘Apple Pay’ page in the Suncorp Bank App, with the nominated card displaying ‘Card added in Apple Wallet’.
Note: Setting up your Suncorp Bank Clear Options credit cards on Apple Pay via the Suncorp Bank App is currently not available. You can set up your Suncorp Bank Clear Options credit cards on Apple Pay via the Wallet app on your eligible Apple devices.
To set up Apple Pay on your device:
- Open the Wallet app and tap + sign in on the upper right hand corner.
- Follow the prompts to add a new card.
- Enter your card’s security code to add your debit card or credit card affiliated with your iTunes Account. Or, tap ‘Add a different card’ and use your iPhone camera to scan the card information.
- Your card has now been added to Apple Wallet and you’re ready to Tap and Pay anywhere you see the contactless symbol.

Note: the Suncorp Bank eftpos card is currently not able to be registered with Apple Pay via the Suncorp Bank App.
Apple Pay can be used anywhere you can Tap and Pay. Simply look for the contactless symbol.
You can also use Apple Pay in-app and on the web with Safari when you see the “Buy with Apple Pay” button or Apple Pay as a payment option.
Note: the Suncorp Bank eftpos card is currently not available for Apple Pay payments within apps, on the web with Safari or for use overseas.

Suncorp Bank Visa Debit Cards are not available to overseas residents, Trustee accounts, accounts where the number to sign to operate is two or more (no form of card access is allowed) or minors. Suncorp Bank Visa Debit Cards must have an account linked as Primary Credit Relationship. Each customer may only have one Suncorp Bank Visa Debit Card per Primary Credit account.
‡ An Eligible Card is a Suncorp Bank Visa Debit Card linked to Suncorp Bank personal transaction account (“Eligible Account”) for customers aged 18 or over. An Eligible Account does not include Suncorp Bank Growth Saver Account, Kids Savings Account or Suncorp Bank PayLater Account.
To be eligible for a Suncorp Bank Visa Debit Card you must be 11 years of age or older. ** An eligible purchase is one completed via the Visa network with your eligible card, that satisfies the terms and conditions associated with each offer as provided by each participating merchant from time to time. You can choose the Visa network when prompted to do so, or selecting "credit” when completing a debit card transaction or using Visa payWave. Purchases made using an online payment platform (such as PayPal) are not eligible, even when an eligible card is linked to that online payment platform.
