Using Apple Pay® with your Suncorp Bank Visa Debit card
When you add your Suncorp Bank Visa debit card to Apple Pay, the card will default to the Visa network for payments with Apple Pay.
To change the default payment network to eftpos, you can pre-arm the device for payment and choose the payment network, alternatively, open the Wallet app, tap on your Suncorp Bank Visa debit card, tap and select ‘eftpos SAV’ from the 'Payment Option' section.
To update the payment network on your Apple Watch, double-click the side button and select your Suncorp Bank Visa debit card, then firmly press the display, then choose your preferred network.
If you have a linked second account to your Suncorp Bank Visa debit card, Apple Pay allows you to select the account you would like the funds to be debited from. Payments made via the Visa network will be debited to your primary “credit” account. Transactions processed via the eftpos network will be debited to your primary “savings/cheque” account.
Note: if you have previously added your Suncorp Bank Visa debit card to Apple Pay and the eftpos network option is not presented, you will need to delete and re-add your card to the wallet. When re-adding the card to the Wallet, do not use the previously provisioned feature (as this prevents the eftpos network from being displayed as an option), tap on 'Add a Different Card' at the bottom of the screen. Once completed, you will be able to select either the Visa or eftpos networks via which your transaction will be processed. For more information visit Apple support.
