Suncorp Bank announces interest rate changes

Suncorp Bank has announced new interest rates for home loan customers following the Reserve Bank of Australia’s decision on Tuesday, 29 September 2026.

From 9 October 2026, Suncorp Bank will increase home loan variable rates by 0.25% per annum (p.a.). 

Suncorp Bank will continue to review deposit and other rates.

 

Suncorp Bank Chief Executive Officer, Bruce Rush, acknowledges the impact that rising interest rates can have on household budgets amid ongoing cost of living pressures. 

 

"We remain focused on supporting customers navigate these challenging market conditions, help them to understand their options and provide assistance wherever it is needed," Mr Rush said.

  • Customers can calculate how much their home loan repayments will increase via the Home Loan Repayment Calculator.   
  • Customers can utilise the savings in their Everyday Options Account and sub-accounts, by activating ‘offset mode’ to reduce their mortgage interest costs. 
  • Sign up to an Everyday Options Account which has no monthly fees and have the option to have up to nine sub-accounts to help reach spending and savings goals.
