Suncorp Bank announces interest rate changes

Suncorp Bank has announced new interest rates for home loan customers following the Reserve Bank of Australia’s decision on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

From 27 March 2026, Suncorp Bank will increase home loan variable rates by 0.25% per annum (p.a.). 

Suncorp Bank will continue to review deposit and other rates.

 

Suncorp Bank CEO, Bruce Rush, reaffirms Suncorp Bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting customer financial wellbeing. 

“We recognise that the current economic environment is challenging for some customers. Supporting our customers and their financial wellbeing remains a priority for us, and we encourage anyone experiencing difficulty with repayments to reach out so we can talk through the support options available,” Mr Rush said.

  • Customers can calculate how much their home loan repayments will increase via the Home Loan Repayment Calculator.   
  • Customers can utilise the savings in their Everyday Options Account and sub-accounts, by activating ‘offset mode’ to reduce their mortgage interest costs. 
  • Sign up to an Everyday Options Account which has no monthly fees and have the option to have up to nine sub-accounts to help reach spending and savings goals.
