Goondiwindi Cotton Brings Regional Queensland to Brisbane 2032

Suncorp Bank business customer Goondiwindi Cotton is aiming to showcase regional Queensland on the world stage, submitting an Expression of Interest to supply uniforms to volunteers and officials at the games in Brisbane in 2032.
If successful, the proposal could generate more than $40 million* for the wider community over five years, supporting local jobs, boosting regional economies and putting Queensland's cotton industry in the global spotlight. The opportunity also represents a chance to highlight the capability of regional businesses and deliver on the vision of a Games for all Queenslanders.
Goondiwindi Cotton owner Sam Coulton has built a successful Australian apparel brand from farming roots spanning more than a century. A passionate advocate for the cotton industry, Sam also promotes sustainable farming practices and hosts regional cotton tours to help consumers better understand where their clothing comes from.

“Legacy is about much more than stadiums and pools. We want the Games to leave a lasting footprint all over regional Queensland, including our tight-knit community,” Sam Coulton said.
“By supporting our bid to clothe the officials and volunteers, we’ll be able to use Australian cotton grown in local soil, continue to support hundreds of jobs across our beautiful region and create a high-quality uniform that will last long after the closing ceremony.”
