Our Responsible Banking Policy

Our Responsible Banking Policy sets out how we manage environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities across our business.

We don’t directly finance companies involved in:

• thermal coal mining extraction projects
• thermal coal electricity generation
• oil and gas projects
• the expansion of existing oil and gas assets

We also exclude companies involved in tar sands, or oil and gas exploration or production in the Arctic Circle or the Great Australian Bight.
