Why can't I transfer to an external account?

Before you can make a transfer to an external account, you need to apply for an External Transfer Password or Security Token.

An External Funds Transfer Password (ETP) is different to your Internet Banking password and provides a second level of security to protect your funds.

To apply for an ETP, log onto Internet Banking, go to the 'Settings and Security' section, and choose "External Transfer Password" in the ‘Extra Security’ section.

If you would prefer a Security Token, you can order this through Internet Banking as well, for a cost of $20.
