Accessing the tool
  • To get access to the tool you’ll need to register through Internet Banking.
  • Once you’ve registered we will import 3 months of the Suncorp Bank account transactions you can see in Internet Banking into Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker. This process  takes between 24 to 48 hours and access to the tool will be available after this time.
  • To keep your registration active you’ll need to make sure you enter Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker at least once every 2 to 3 months (or every 90 days).
  • You can access your budget anytime you’re logged into Internet Banking by clicking on the Budget Tracker link from the left hand menu options.

How to register for Budget Tracker

  1. Simply logon to Internet Banking;
  2. Click on the Budget Tracker link from the left hand menu options;
  3. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions;
  4. Click the Register button.

We’ll then arrange for the previous three months of your Internet Banking transaction history to be imported into the tool ready for you to start budgeting. This process takes between 24-48 hours and access to the tool will be available after this time.

Top FAQs

Can I upload transactions from accounts I hold at other financial institutions?

You are able to manually upload transaction lists for accounts you hold at other financial institutions into Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker. Any files you wish to upload must be in CSV format.

Why are there transactions listed that are shaded grey?

These transactions represent any internal transfers made between your accounts viewed in Budget Tracker and are automatically excluded from calculations. If you wish to include these transactions, simply click on the down arrow to the left of the date of the transaction and select, “Include this transaction”. You can then categorise the transaction as required.

How do I categorise transfers between my own accounts?

If you are just shifting money around between your accounts, it's best to exclude these transactions so they don't impact the calculation of your budget. Budget Tracker will identify transactions of this type and grey them out / exclude them. Transfers to credit cards and home loans / personal loans can be categorised using the categories.

When will I be able to see my previous days transactions in Budget Tracker?

Generally speaking, you will be able to see your transactions from the previous day from 6:00 am the following day. Occasionally due to delays in processing, transactions may not visible at this time.

How do I categorise my transactions?

Your transactions are automatically grouped into common categories. However you can change how the transaction is categorised by clicking the link called, View and Categorise transactions next to the pie or bar chart in the Expense or Income tab. Why can’t I see the link to Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker within Internet Banking?

You may be using multiple profiles within Internet Banking. Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker is only available to customers with a single profile within Internet Banking. Customers with multiple profiles within Internet Banking will be unable to register for Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker. Removing multiple profiles however, will then allow you to register.

How do I enable or disable accounts I view in Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker?

Click on ‘Settings’ to easily enable or disable any accounts you don’t wish to view in Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker.

Can I use Budget Tracker on your mobile phone?

No, Budget Tracker is only available on the full Suncorp Internet Banking platform.

How do I register for Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker?

You can register through Internet Banking. Simply follow the below steps:

  1. Login to Internet Banking and click on the Budget Tracker link from the left hand menu options to initiate the Registration page.
  2. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions then click on the Register button.

Once you have registered, we will import 3 months of Suncorp Bank account transactions into Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker. This process takes between 24-48 hours and access to the tool will be available after this time.

How do I de-register from Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker?

If you do not access Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker within a 90 day period we will expire your registration. We will send a secure message advising that your registration will be expired unless you re-enter Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker within 14 days. If we expire your registration all data, including manually uploaded data or data obtained from Third Party websites will no longer be visible within Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker and you will have to re-register if you wish to access Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker again.

What if I have a joint account and both of us would like access to the tool?

Both account holders can individually register for the tool via your unique Internet Banking login details. You then have the option to each set your own budgets.

Where can I access the tool?

Once you’ve logged into Internet Banking click on the Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker link from the left hand menu options. You can then use the top bar to navigate through the four different sections of the tool.

What happens if I don’t access the tool for a few months?

Your registration will become inactive if you don’t access the tool for more than 90 days. We’ll send you a secure message through Internet Banking before this happens to let you know that you have 14 days to access the tool before your registration expires.

What happens if my registration to Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker expires?

If you would like to access the tool again you’ll need to re-register through Internet Banking. Unfortunately, your previous budget and transactional information won’t be able to be retrieved. This means that when you re-register only the last three months transaction history will be loaded into the tool.

Can I transact between my accounts on Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker?

No, Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker is a 'view only' snapshot which enables you to see all your account information in one secure place. You need to use your regular Internet Banking services to perform transactions.

Is there any cost or fee for using Suncorp Bank Budget Tracker?

Once you logon to Internet Banking, we identify you and then pass you information via a secure encrypted tunnel known as a secure socket layer (SSL) connection to Budget Tracker. Your information is kept encrypted at all times. Budget Tracker is only accessible via logging onto Internet Banking.
