Hints & Tips

What we look for:

  • That you have a history of savings.
  • That you have a history of managing repayments.
  • Your overall financial position.

What you can do:

The smartest way of approaching a Personal Loan application is to do so knowing how much you can afford to borrow. Though our team of Lending Specialists will make sure the amount you’re borrowing matches your capabilities, you put yourself in better stead for approval if you aim to borrow comfortably and realistically.

Some tips on improving your eligibility:

Try going for a period of not withdrawing the money that you put into your savings. This will show us you’re committed to making payments.

  • A Personal Loan application with savings that have been stable for three to six months will greatly improve your chances of success.

Borrow towards your capabilities. For example, if $20,000 is just beyond your repayment comfort-zone, trying saving $5000, and then apply for a more manageable $15,000 loan.

Always keep and file documents that can act in support of your loan request.

  • Know your liabilities, and their balances.
  • Keep track of all sources of income, no matter how small.
  • Know the value of your assets.

If you’ve previously lodged an unsuccessful application with us, call us on 13 11 75 and ask about why you were unsuccessful; our team of specialists are always happy to help.
