Suncorp Bank credit cards scheduled maintenance - FAQs

1. Why is Suncorp Clear Options Credit Card Services undertaking this scheduled maintenance?

Citigroup is the credit provider and issuer of Suncorp Clear Options Credit Cards. The scheduled maintenance is part of Citibank’s global improvement program which will deliver Suncorp customers a better online banking platform for Suncorp credit card services.

 

2. Will there be outages during the maintenance outage?

Yes. There will be outages throughout the maintenance period - 3am Sunday 14th September to approximately 7am Sunday 14th September AEST.

3. Will I be able to log into Suncorp Clear Options Credit Card Services during the upgrade?

No.  Suncorp Clear Options Credit Card Services will be unavailable during the maintenance period between 3am Sunday 14th September to approximately 7am Sunday 14th September AEST.

Suncorp Online Banking will not be impacted during the maintenance period. You will still be able to log in to Suncorp Online Banking and all other functionalities will be available.

 

4. Will I be able to log into Suncorp Bank Online Banking during the upgrade?

Yes, Suncorp Online Banking will not be impacted during the upgrade. You will still be able to log in to Suncorp Online Banking and all functionalities will be available.

The scheduled maintenance only impacts Suncorp Clear Options Credit Card Services.

 

5. Will there be any changes to my log on access or details following the maintenance?

No. The log on process will be the same and you can log on to Suncorp Credit Card Services using the same log on details following the outage.

 

6. Will there be any impact on my direct debits, direct credits and BPay payments as a result of the schedule maintenance?

No.  These payments will not be impacted and will be processed as normal.

 

7. Will phone banking be available?

Phone Banking for credit cards will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

You will still be able to access Suncorp Phone Banking as usual for all other banking products.  

 

8. Will ATM access on credit cards be available?

ATM access for Suncorp Clear Options Credit Cards will not be available during the maintenance period. Therefore customers will not be able to perform specific credit card functions.

You will also not be able to access any transaction accounts that are linked to your credit card during the outage period. This includes over the counter purchases as well as ATM access.

Please note that Suncorp Bank Visa Debit Cards and Suncorp Bank Cash Cards are unaffected by this outage.

 

9. Will purchases with a Suncorp Clear Options Credit Card be affected?

Purchases using a Suncorp Clear Options Credit Card may be affected during this period.

To avoid delays or issues, please make arrangements prior to the maintenance period to ensure you have other sources of funds, such as cash, in case your credit card transaction doesn't go through.


10. Will purchases with a transaction account linked to a Suncorp Clear Options Credit Card be affected?

You will not be able to perform any transactions on your linked transaction account during this period. This includes any transactions processed through the cheque or savings button of a Clear Options Credit Card over the counter or at ATMs.

If you are planning on using your credit card to access your transaction account during the maintenance period, make sure you have other payment options.

Please note that Suncorp Bank Visa Debit Cards and Suncorp Bank Cash Cards are unaffected by this maintenance.

 

11. What if I am going overseas?

If you are going overseas during this time, you may experience issues using your Suncorp Bank Clear Options credit card to make purchases. Access via a credit card to a foreign ATM (including cash advance) will also be unavailable.

To avoid delays or issues, please make arrangements prior to the maintenance period to ensure you have other sources of funds, such as cash.

 

12. What should I do if I want to talk to someone?

Suncorp Customer Service in relation to credit card enquiries will have limited availability during the maintenance period, but our staff will endeavour to help you with your enquiry.

 In the case of an emergency (i.e. a lost or stolen card), please contact us on 13 11 75 or if you’re abroad call us on +61 7 3362 1712.

 

13. What services will be impacted during the scheduled maintenance?
